G1 screen locks when keybord slideback

Hi,
i am using HTC G1 for past 3 months with absolutly no issues. but since yesterday i am facing a strange problem.There is no physical damage to phone but it started working awkwardly.When i power on my G1 the screen goes on screen lock mode and it do not respond untill we slide the keybord and wait for sometime (say about 2 min.). i performed the hard reset as well but dint work out. I am in India and there no Tmobile assistance here and also i am afraid to get it repaired here in local market even if it is a hardware issue. Tho it do not seems so to me. Please help.

reboot holding home+power then press alt+L then press Alt+W then press home+back to reboot and see if that works

pls My G1 google phone is no-long responding to my email and password. as in the screen lock security after several attempt by a friend. Now the phone no longer accept my gmail account. pls what do i do, to get raid of it.
