Hey I have the G1 and have not had a stock version since root came out. T-Mo has almost no service where i moved and now I have to switch to verizon. How many apps does the Droid have space for? I am looking for an "average", as I currently have over 100 on my G1 since its rooted with APPS2SD. I am simply looking for a round about so that I know if I even want to consider the droid.

The G1 has 192MB RAM (user space)
The Droid has 256MB RAM
That should give you an idea of what it can store relative to what you use/have. # of apps isn't really a valid question because app size varies wildly.
Once rooted, it doesn't really matter if you want to use sd storage again

I know, that's why I said once it is - it seems rather likely to happen. :) I'm guessing by how many apps he's trying to squeeze, he's going to have that problem with any android phone for a while.

My coworker just got a Droid and it said it had ~250 MB free under internal phone storage; that's after adding at least a dozen apps!
As we G1 owners know, the G1 has about 70 MB free after a wipe, with nothing installed. Do the math...

I know what was stated just wondering an average number of what people are getting on the device. I rooted my G1 as soon as root was possible so I cannot even come close to remember how many apps I got on it when it was not rooted.
They really need to support APPS2SD or larger internal b/c this is crazy that you can actually run out of room for apps easily. I have 100 apps and still have a but load of space available thanks to CM and APPS2SD.

Droid users now have a browser with multitouch pinch and zoom, Dolphin Browser http://browser.mgeek.mobi/ also works on Hero and Cyan
