I'm using Open Home on the Droid. When I first installed it, it asked me what I wanted to assign the "Home" icon to - the system default Home or Open Home.
Unfortunately I picked default, and now I want to change it so the Home icon goes to the setup for Open Home.
I cannot figure out how to do this. You can do the reverse (icon assigned to Open Home and you want to reset to Default) in Application Settings, and I see no setting in Preferences to set this.
How can I assign the Home Icon to Open Home?
Thanks

go settings>applications>manage>home>clear defaults.
Then push the home button on the phone again.

go settings>applications>manage>home>clear defaults.
Then push the home button on the phone again.
That does not work. The 'Clear defaults' button is grayed out in the Open Home application. There is no application listed for the "normal home", so when you said "home" above I assume you meant Open Home.
It seems like this would work to change from "Open Home" to "Normal Home", but not in reverse like I need to.
Either I'm missing something obvious, or this is a glaring bug in Open Home that once you decide you can't go back and change your choice.

Thats odd there should be a "home" app that you could use to clear its defaults. Try reinstalling Open Home and see if it gives you the option to choose again

There is no 'Home' application in 2.0. I looked everywhere.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Open Home, and now I lost all my settings and I still can't get the Home button to go to Open Home. I am not prompted as I was on original installation.
Must be a bug...So far I've learned 95% of Android apps are crap...

Try using "Home Switcher" - it's a separate app that enables you to choose between all "home" apps installed.

"Home Switcher" works...Seems like an oversight in Android 2.0 that you can't change the home button mapping, but thankfully this app does the trick.

Home is there. Hit settings>filter>all while in manage applications.

I thought I had tried everything, but it was the filter that got me. Once you find the 'Home' program, that will set everything correctly. Thanks for the tip!
