View Full Version : Accelerometer Based Large Image Viewer

Had this idea out of no where while watching House, of all things (he was on his cellphone, but otherwise unrelated).

Viewing large images on my G1 has always been annoying, so I thought up a better way to pan and scroll through a large image/document/webpage, etc.

Think of how the "compass mode" works in street view in Google Maps (on Android, not the web browser). Moving your phone around you in 3d space pans and scrolls around the street view image. Why couldnt someone make something similar, but with any kind of image or document you want.

Let me know if you like the idea, or if you want to develop it (or if it's already been done...). =)

I was in the process of developing something like this. I was going to make it part of a game but maybe I should release a generic image motion scrollable viewer.
