View Full Version : Does your Droid take forever to charge?

So I've had my DROID since launch day and I can't say enough about the battery life -- awesome. However, I've noticed that even at 40-50% battery it takes 5-6 hours to recharge. I'm plugged in via USB mostly on either a dell d630 or 15" macbook pro directly into USB ports (no hub). I haven't used my wall charger yet as the only time i charge is at home or work too far from an outlet. Anyone else notice this?

The USB charging via computer is slow. The wall charger is much quicker.

I suspected it was the USB. Its weird though cause my iPhone charged so much faster even on USB. Oh well.

My Droid charges very quickly with the wall charger,...have not tried USB to computer

Mine fully charges with the wall charger in about 1 hour. Maybe a little longer with the PC's usb port. 5-6 hours sounds crazy. My guess is you probably have a background app still active while it's charging. This has happened to others.
