Black notification bar ?

Does anyone know how to get just the black notification bar on mytouch 3g ? I have freshface installed and have a black & White theme on it but it hasn't effected the notification bar and its still white/silver, all i want to do is just change the color to black so it will match with rest of my theme/my phone. I don't want to root because i don't want to risk bricking my phone/voiding my warranty.

The notification bar can only be done with rooted themes.

If you root your phone you can flash a theme to your phone like you would an update.
