Sorry if there is a post for this already. Newbie here. After my research, I found a great program called Videora. http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/motorola-droid/. It's free. They also have downloads for other phones too. In order to convert your dvds to MPEG4 or H264 format, you'll need the DVD Decrypter program to rip your movies. Also free. I suggest downloading Videora 1st if you don't have either programs. Videora has the directions and the settings you have to adjust on the DVD Decrypter program along with the link to download dvd decrypter too. You'll find the directions for converting dvds and the link to dvd decrypter in the DVD converter button on the main screen of videora. Just press dvd convert and it will give you step by step instructions on how to convert your moives. It wasn't hard at all. Just note that in step 5 of the directions, it says to enable the first video file, but they forget to mention to also enable the second file which is the english audio, it should be the second file under the video file. You'll see what I mean once you get to that step. The directions are simple. I found that in Videora you have a few option for converting your movies. I suggest using Power mode vs Normal Mode. In power mode you can choose which format you want to convert in, since the program doesn't have the droid as a mobile option yet, I choose the HTC Hero as my default device. It doesn't really matter, since you can also choose the format. I used MPEG4 480x320 stereo. The movie fits the whole screen and looks and sounds awesome. Resolution is perfect, just like watching the DVD itself. Extracting the dvd takes about 20 minutes, but the conversion for the movies can take up to 3 hrs or so depending on the legnth of the movie. The files are converted to about 250mb or so, which means you can put a hell of a lot of movies on your sd. I just let it run and walk away. Once the movie is done converting, just plug in the droid, drag the top menu on the phone, select usb storage, then mount. Save the movie in the camera folder. You'll be able to watch with the standard media program that comes with the phone. I use the Act 1 app becuase it has more options. Hope this helps.:D
