droid doing strange things

So this morning I unpluged my phone from the charger. It was in screen lock mode. Then all of a sudden it started to make a phone call. I am assuming to the last number I dialed as it dialed my SO number.


Then when I got off the call it did not go back to screen lock but to the call log. In the past it has gone back to screen lock when and INCOMING call happens.


So I am not sure why its making calls on its own.

also my Wifi turned its self on. But I may know why after looking at the screen. Ill have to test my theory.

the other thing I am trying to find out is how to get the phone to sleep when plugged in or may be go into a clock mode but still be screen locked

I looked under the power settings and I have timeout set for 2 min but when its on charge it stays on.


I also notice if you put it down a little hard or fast is does strange things and launches apps etc..

now sometimes when a call is incoming i cannot swipe the screen to answer and it goes blank then i wake it up and i only get the unlock keypad so I cannot answer the call..

im on my 2nd phone after a week with the old one. lets hope this one works better

The one thing that I have noticed compared to my G1...the bend did assist in people hearing me when I prop the phone in my shoulder and neck...one false move away from that pinhole microphone and you hear the caller 'what'd you do...you sound far away'. Thank you Philly for the handsfree law, I just use my earpiece and avoid all of that drama. I also see that it does not 'sleep' on it's own when charging. I just turn it off.

Curious unix1adm what the *bleep* is going on that you have had 3???

O Wow! - This sounds like when people were sending G1's back for replacement phones (back in Oct/Nov of 09... including myself) :)
