I'm a bit disappointed in the bluetooth headset.
With my Nokia I was able to press the call button on my bluetooth and say 'call xxx-xxx-xxxx' or 'call xxxxx'.
Whenthe headset didn't work with my Droid, I bought another bluetooth headset that was compatible with the Droid.
Same thing so I figure that is just the way it it.
I returned it.
Am I correct to assume that you can not initiate a call from a headset?

Thus far, I have been unsuccessful in initiating a call from my Bluetooth headset (Jawbone-II). I honestly don't think it's available on any Android phone yet -- as it seems that the Bluetooth API's necessary to program such functionality haven't been available to programmers. I'm still searching for info on the Bluetooth API's in Android 2.0 -- I have no confirmation that they're available to programmers yet, or not. But if they are, then I'd expect to see a good BT-activated voice-dialer app available on the marketplace sometime in the next month or two.

And I'd love to be able to access the Nav with the headset as well.

This is getting rehashed to death over on motorola's Droid forum. I was going to pull the trigger on the phone purchase today, until I found this thread and then the one on the motorola forum.
Doesn't sound like it will be addressed any time soon.

Yeah...I'm really rather shocked it hasn't been fixed yet myself.
It's such a basic function available to any 10-year old phone with BT service.
Not sure if any of the hacked ROMs have addressed it yet either.
