So Dell already announced (http://androidcommunity.com/dell-to-sell-android-based-mini-3-smartphone-20091113/) that it will be marketing an Android smartphone in China and Brazil. Well, a few hours later the same Dell smartphone - named Mini 3i - was unboxed by the guys over at PConline (http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=hp&hl=en&js=y&u=http%3A%2F%2Fit.21c n.com%2Fmobile%2Fts%2F2009%2F11%2F13%2F7075617.sht ml&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&history_state0=). Also, a few surprises were revealed on this unboxing.

For some reason, Dell decided that a 3.5mm headphone jack - which any respectable phone has nowadays - is not important to have on this smartphone. Instead, they included a handsfree kit of their own, which connects to the miniUSB port. The good thing for those who want to use their own headphones is that Dell also included a miniUSB to 3.5mm headphones adapter socket.

Another surprise is that they put a stylus as part of the goodies inside the box of the Mini 3i. But don't worry, the phone does have a 3.5-inch capacitive display, the stylus is similar to the Pogo stylus for the iDon't phone. And the truth is that many people in China will appreciate this when they get to input Chinese characters. When exactly will this new Android phone make its way to the US is uncertain. But we'll keep you up to date.

Yup! I guess Dell also loves the little pebble from Palm. :)
