Cant view email attachments/download using SEVEN??

I am using SEVEN's push email service and it has worked great for me...however i cant seem to download any attachments no matter how small the file..i always get a message saying memory full but I just got the phone and have most of the memory still available..

Also, although it shows the option to view an attachment is is never highlighted or available for me to click the option to view attachment...and were talking about a small 636 kb jpeg file..

Does anyone have any experience with this issue? TIA

I don't use it, or have any prior knowledge but it never hurts to clear the cache, or try to find an application that can help out.

yep..looking for an app now..seems K9 might work but its a polling app and im looking for push ..hmmm..not quite sure why there would be window that comes up asking if i want to download or view but not allow me to do either lol

I am using seven on a G1 running 1.6 and having no trouble downloading attachments. Also, Seven will allow me to download an attachment even if there is no app on the phone to view it. K9 is supposed to do the same but my phone had trouble running it. What phone are you using and how much free memory do you have?

I am using an HTC Eris with 1.5 ..I have 92MB free space on my phone right now

Wow, I only have half that amount of free space. Have you tried upgrading to 1.6 or going on the Seven site and checking out their forum?

hmm..both of those programs seem to just handle downloads from browsers..still didnt allow me to download or view files attached to emails in SEVEN

Yes, they do not work on email attachments, besides, Seven (like K9) is designed to allow downloads without a "helper" program. But, is 1.6 available for your phone?

My phone says that all of the most recent updates for it have been installed..not sure if 1.6 is available for the Eris..i will look into it..i do know a 2.0 update is coming out for it soon..

I can view and download attachments in the stock email app provided for the phone so at least i have that option available but its a drag to have to use 2 email apps to do the job of one..thanks for your responses scrannel though thus far

Hey, jnorm, just because your phone says it is up to date, does not mean it is. All it's saying is no new OTA upgrade has been detected. I upgraded to 1.6 by downloading the file from this forum and installing. Might help.

gotcha..im looking into whether or not the 1.6 update is compatible with the Eris Sense UI
