Flashing hero roms

Ok, I've done a lot of searching around for this, and I keep getting all kinds of old and new information, and I'm just hoping for an updated step by step of flashing say mlign's hero rom.

I have a dream running cm 4.2.5 with a class 6 sd card (fat32/ext3/96mb swap) and hard spl. I also have the newest radio required for cm and for haykuro's spl (2.22.19.26I)

From what I understand I'll need haykuro's latest spl to be able to run hero roms.

What do I need to do at this point where I'm at to get the hero rom on my phone? I'm just nervous about bricking while flashing the spl.

I guess I'd just like a straight forward step by step for flashing everything I need to get it all running. I'm not new to android, but haven't dabbled with anything outside of what I needed to do to get cm running.

You already have the right radio, you just need to flash the spl. Here is a link on the spl.

Ok, I'm running RA's recovery

I flashed haykuros spl, and rebooted after it was done. It rebooted back to recovery, which I thought was weird, because everything I read said it wouldnt. Anyways, flashed cm4.2.5 at this point, and it just hangs at the g1 screen. I can reboot back into recovery, and have tried wiping. I can also get into fastboot and see the skaters, and it shows that I have the spl I just flashed.

i believe you need to flash the same rom you were running prior to flashing the spl

I was on 4.2.5 and flashed that after the spl.

Should I try to flash the spl again? or is that a nono?

Still cant get past the g1 screen.. I know its not bricked, but I have no idea what i need to do at this point

Okay, I swear I have the weirdest luck with this phone.. I've been rebooting and trying to reflash a few older cyan builds.. still kept getting the g1 screen. Decided what the hell, I'll flash dwangs rom that I still had on my sd card, and i'm at the android screen right now... and right after i put my sim card in my backup moto rizr too lol

Did u wipe and .repartition ur sd .

I had wiped each time I tried flashing a rom.. Didn't repartition. For some odd reason I just got lucky and dwangs rom loaded up fine.

For hero u hav to do as follows

Wipe phone
Wipe partitions
Repartition
Pull battery
Load rom with sd card reader
Boot to recovery
Wipe phone again
Load rom
Wait!
Done
