Push to talk or a voice version of IM

I am looking for a push to talk style application for android. I dot need to go back and forth like nextel but would like to be able to get a quick voice message over to one of my crew a few times a day

Is there such a program?

You could create a contact group, create a short cut to direct text on your desktop and then menu > attach > record audio
