Tools for Android or tools for Linux? If Android, you don't need Linux; download a Java SDK, the Android SDK, and Eclipse, then start cranking out code.
If Linux, I think a lot of people prefer Ubuntu, which sounds like the Nigerian prince who promised me untold riches.

yup, there is a bit of software out there to allow you to have a desktop cube for vista, that is if you are willing to pay $50, ridiculous. Life with open source is so much easier imo
I chucked winblows years ago for ubuntu (now on xubuntu).
BTW, this thread got totally hijacked lol.

Yeah but it will be able to handle multiple acceleration handles at one time and still play the games I want and I won't spend half my day editing rc files to make stuff do what I want. Nerd rage run on sentence.

I tried ubuntu and most of it worked but some hardware would not work... Including my tv tuner... I love the compiz stuff though...

Kubuntu is the way to go but that is because I like KDE opposed to GNOME though that is just my personal preference.

After reading a few other posts by the OP I'm starting to question whether or not he should be running Linux.
