G1 - Spotted in the wild? [Archive]

Has anyone ever spot a G1 in the wild? (Aside from your own)
For as long as it's been out I have not seen one yet. Perhaps it's because no mobile stores sell them around here (Had to sneak through the cracks and blackmail the sales rep to get one) but I figured I'd see more of them...

I guess I've only see 2-3 iPhones since launch too...perhaps Wisconsin lacks people craving good phones...

My friend Stephanie got one the same day I did and last week I saw a guy with a G1 in the the local drinking establishment where I like to consume fermented vegetable beverages. Normally I'd talk to someone about it but since he was a white guy with a racial identity crisis I decided he wouldn't even understand a word I had to say about it.

I've ran into two people at my school who are rocking them.
The godfather of Nerdcore Hip-Hop is rocking a G1 too.

Also my friend went out and bought one after seeing and playing with mine for abit.

.........oh yeah! Someone I work with might be buying one soon seeing how his iPhone is pretty much broke now after it fell (I believe into a puddle.)

This guy at my work also has one .. he got it when if first came out in october.

Believe it or not, my MOM bought one before me, and she's in her late 50s. I also have a friend at work who has one, and several other people are getting one after seeing mine.

I've only seen one, and that was in Birmingham, it was a Black one, he was trying to use it one handed and dropped it :P

Saw a guy @ Best Buy with one. He had a clear plastic case on it too.

I was going to whip out mine but i felt so naked.

The only other one I ever see is my wife's. Lots of people ask me about mine when they see it though

Actually ran into a customer loyalty rep at an local eatery..........she had the bronze;my wife has the black and I the WHITE!!!!

iphone and blackberry users seem jealous.............

Im at a bar I see a good looking girl, buy her a Shot new years eve we start chatting.Ask for her number.. bam she says I have one of those too.. pulls it out.. instant connection ... call her on sat to go for some drinks.. NO RESPONSE!!! booooo... Yea she was hot , ill never see her again... I erased her number.. bummed out..

I SPOTTED A BRONZE! some how i was unawares of bronze.i rang up a lady and she put her g1 on my counter and i just blurted out "is your g1 brown??" without thinking. and she told me it was a replacement for her black one that she dropped.

In Philly you see a lot of G1 phones through out the city, especially young teenagers carrying them arond

i saw one at work the other day, he's a regular at the bookstore, he also works for tmobile so I wasn't surprised, I was going to ask him about it, but he was on it so.... yeah my first sighting.

The waiter at a nice, Italian restaurant in Bev. Hills asked me about mine one day, how I liked it, what programs there were for it.

Went in a few days ago, and he had one! Loves it!

In Los Angeles, you see them every few days... not like the iPhone, but you do see the G1's around.

I was in a company-wide meeting this week and there were 3 people IM'ing on their G1's (I was in the back of the room) during the meeting.

It does have an unmistakable profile. :)
