Those free readers do not seem to work too well, I would pay for a good professional reader as well.
I, too, would gladly pay for a good PDF reader. The major difficulty I have is that I live in Singapore where there is no paid apps market yet. So even if there is a good reader, how on earth am I supposed to buy it??

Try PDF Gview.... I don't think it works with SD card PDFs, or google docs pdfs.... but almost any other pdf link out there on the open net it seems to work great with.
ie.... from the browser, click on any link to a pdf and it will open, look good, and perform good. (for multipage pdfs, just click menu to flip to the next page or previous one.)
It's not perfect, but it IS the best free pdf viewer I've seen.

What about qPDF Notes...you can read, markup with graphical or text comments, fill PDF forms, send or save...
We've also published a free app for viewing PDF on Android: qPDF Viewer, that is quick, has great navigation, and even supports reading password protected files. Oh, and it runs on all Android devices.
For more info on both, visit our website.
