A2PD question...

so guys i was looking at the Plantronics Voyager 855 BT
and i was trying to find out if A2PD is a hardware or software related...
i hear that out of the box the G1 does not support A2PD but can an update take care of that or if a phone that does no support A2PD will never support it...

a2dp is a software profile of bluetooth

A2dp stands for Advanced Audio Distribution Profile. It's just a bluetooth protocol which will work with any bluetooth compatible chipset. Android does not have this profile out of the box, but it can and will be instated via a firmware update. The only reason that it's not an option now is the current bluetooth stack in 1.0 is in it's infancy.
