    NEW update for Babbler 1.3

it includes "semi-push" notifcations and supports inbox (read-only) (pokes) and (friend request)

check it out on the market.

Bloo will be having a new update either late tonight or early tomorrow with inbox (read only also)

these apps are look better and better

im currently testing Babbler right now for the notifactions, cause i love Bloo's push notication

Babbler seems to have a feature-strong and quicker interface. But in reality, Bloo is just a little bit slower but provides a more intuitive UI and just as many features. The notifications system on Bloo kills Babbler as well. Instant lol

Quick question for those of you who are testing both apps...which one is better on your battery?

Do the babbler notifications only work when the program is OPEN (ie. not just running in the background)

Seems rather pointless if that's the case. I'd like to have them show up instantaneously, or as close to that as possible. However, then night time would be a problem, so there would need to be an option to turn off the push notifications.

Babbler keeps notifying me every 5 minutes or so about a friend request that I have already accepted, and I can't get it to stop. I'm about to disable notifications for friend requests, but I really don't want to do that. Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, to keep with the theme of this thread, I paid for Bloo but had to stop using it because no matter what I did it couldn't access my photo albums. I went back and forth with Dmitri trying to get it working and then decided to try Babbler. It had absolutely no issues connecting to my photo albums, so I made the switch.

if Bloo could actually load my feed in less than 30 secs it would be a great app without the spinners, I've pretty much switched to the FB app now though.

    Hey Paul,

This is Dimitris from Bloo, sorry that it takes long time to load, have you tried enabling the "optimize feed loader" feature in your preferences? Sometimes through EDGE or GRPS networks it is useful to avoid downloading profile pics which is what takes most of the time.

    Thanks!

Bloo was whitelisted and you can access the inbox via the API, the problem is it is only read-only at this time. There is no API to compose messages.
