    Default Call Recording

    Folks,

I am expecting the phone to record the voice calls as follows
    1. System should able to intercept the incoming call, auto-respond with an automated voice or text message.
    2. System should also able to record the voice calls and store in AMR format.
    3. System able to find the status from the calendar, If the end user is busy, number 2 has to be followed.

    Regards,
    Senthil

Sounds nice but good luck. From what I heard from romainguy in #android last night the ability for apps to access the phones audio was blocked due to "security". Not much more was said about it but hopefully that security can be bypassed. The features you are asking for are great on certain WM phones and could be taken to a next level on android.

Imagine your wife is on the phone telling you what to get from the store on the way home. You say "Hold on a sec" .....<click, record on> "ok whats the list?" ........<click, record off> "ok, got it, bye"

I see this being a security risk only if the app does not ask for this permission when installing (This application requires permissions to record calls) or if the end user is a complete idiot (not the rest of the worlds problem).
