gps and google maps

Is there or what's the best way to geo tag a map and a photo with the g1?

Or better yet. Geo tag a photo so that it shows up in google maps?

any ideas? has anybody done anything with saving locations on google maps at all?

Try the GlobeDroid application from the Market Place. It uses google maps. It is easy to get a login right from your G1. Snap and pic and upload it to the GlobeDroid site and you can see your pics on a google map. Others can goto the site and see your pics. It works well, even on an edge connection. For viewing your pics, the site itself isn't very G1 friendly, but no problems when you use your pc.

hey just downloaded and took a couple pictures of the tv to see it in action

i noticed it had location coordinates which is what i wanted. so far so good.

do you know if there are ways to keep the photos? do they have a lower resolution since they capture quicker then the phones camera.

the site was hard to look at i'll ask more questions when i can check out the wsite from a computer

Once you login from your pc, you can view the image and save it. To me they look like full sized images. Can't wait to upload from my off-road adventures.
