How do you install .zip apps on G1?

I must be from another planet but how do you install .zip apps on tha G1? Thanks for any and all help!

unless you mean the updates, apps are .apk files not .zip which is why you can't install them.

If someone sent you an APK in a .ZIP file then use your PC/MAC to unzip it first.

Android ONLY accepts .APK files for installers (you are trying to install an Android app and not an app for another phone platform or PC?)

I downloaded the .zip file and then extracted the files but different folders have come out of it and I don't know which one to go in or how to physically install them on my phone.

In this case, just rename the file to APK. for example: xxx.zip ---> xxx.apk and install it use appsinstalll or something else.

Certainly, you must be sure it's a G1 app.

just rename the end to apk i had the same issue u had lol
