A company called Aardvark are working on exchange support. No details yet but launch is promised for the first quarter of next year. They are also going to be starting a beta shortly. Go to their website http://www.aardvarkforandroid.com/ to sign up

Ralph - They taste like...BURNING!
I've already got Exchange connectivity.....It's called OWA!
Okay, I know it's not an android app. But hey, it works for what I need.
That's what I have available currently. Even so, it would be nice to have the ability to get email notifications for my Exchange email.
Also, how would the synced exchange email be viewed on the G1? Will it be synced to the built-in POP/IMAP email application? Or, will the developing company create it's own email app for viewing and handling these emails?

I would think that a new e-mail app with a trickle-data connection to the exchange server (IDLE) would be required. Or, the company could write a plug-in to the e-mail app, as we have seen some developers do during the G1 media release (compass overlay for maps, etc).
Either way, the G1 will get a lot of attention from business users as soon as it gets Exchange support, that's for sure. My bet is that there are a lot of WM users looking for a more stable background-process platform that require Exchange support.
