Music ID Software

At the moment I have a MotoMing and I am so looking forward to getting the G1, but there seems to be program that I have that I can't live without and that the MotoID. It's a java based program that allows me to get a song name and artist simply by putting the phone itself to any speaker. I was wondering if someone could make a program like this or even convert the one I have for the Android?

Well if it can ID a song just by "listening" then you're right, which i hope it can, if not I hope either it will as an update or something that can comes out

Thats too cool. Never heard of that app. I'm checking to see if Tunewiki can do it like Vincent says.

i dont think tunewiki can do that....ive heard of apps like that b4, they can i.d the song, them ask you if you want to DL it (for a small fee of course)

its called shazzam on the iphone and the company that makes it is working on the andriod version.

Doesn't Pandora on the iPhone do the same?

I took a further look at the program that I have and it turns out to be made by shazzam, so if they are making one for the Android as well, that's great news.
