How is this better than just redownloading all the apps?
lol when you have close to 50 - 100 apps that question shouldn't need to be answered. But yes, to answer that...it's quicker and painless.
I have a question. How would I go about getting rid of the backups I did with Astro so I won't have double backups. Which is better? Should I just stay with Astro or use Mybackup?

I'm a little hesitant to upgrade to this, as the description says that many (all?) of the new features are trials.
with MyBackup you can backup different versions of the App into a different backup file.
also you can check all and restore all at once instead of one at a time.
Yeah...I've been thinking about that the last couple of days too.
I've noticed a lot of the previously "free" apps are suddenly now beta or trial, which implies they will become for-purchase apps in the near future. That's an unpleasant trend.
I can maybe see paying $0.49 or $0.99 for a few apps here and there, but definitely not $10, $15, $20 that I'm seeing a few begin to advertise. I've never paid that for apps before....not on a phone nor on any of the Palm devices I've owned. Certainly not going to start now.
Is Mybackup going to stay free.
