So about 2 weeks ago I downloaded Open Home Full and a new theme, Glossy Suite. Paid for Open Home but the theme was of course free. One night about a week ago my G1 died, I plugged it in a few hours later, and just let it charge to full.
With the green light shining bright I attempted to turn on my G1, and it wouldn't load past the android screen. Doing a few different things such as a hard reboot (removing the battery and sim card for 15-30secs), removing the sd card, etc, it still wouldn't load past the first android screen you see when turning the G1 on. I restored my phone back to factory settings(Thankfully not having to redownload cupcake). Installed Open Home again without Glossy Suite and the same thing happened again when I turned off my G1 manually.
So my question here is, has anyone experienced this problem with open home and if so, what did you do? Do you still have Open Home and have figured out what the cause of the problem is, or should I just forget about the 5 dollars I spent on such a wonderfully looking app?
Thats very strange... The program on its own shouldnt have access to the root of the OS to allow a bootloop to occur.
I think your phone might have just had a glitch in the OS, ive never heard of a market app not for root users sending someone into a bootloop
timtheusckid, hmm well I just took the dive and reinstalled open home again without glossy suite. Powered down my phone and it actually didnt hit the "bootloop".
So you are probably right about the glitch, although I would still like to know if this has happened to anyone else, and if the source of the problem was ever determined so that maybe it can be fixed or avoided.

The same thing happened on my phone. After I reset it to factory default, I reinstalled Open Home immediately but I've never seen the problem again. Now idea what the real cause of the problem was.
