Default Open Home "FC or Wait" Problem

Hi, AC, I'm having a bit of a problem with Open Home
Every time I load up an app and then navigate back to the home screen I always get a pop up that says, "Activity Open Home is not responding."
It gives me the option to force close or wait, usually I wait because it loads up after a few seconds, but my question is, is it normal for Open Home to do this with a rooted phone? or is it normal for it to do this at all?

My phone is currently running Cyan's Mod 3.6.8.1

Also, in case anybody wants to know why I'm using a home replacement app with root, it's because I bought it before I knew it was possible to change themes for free, so now i'm just trying to get my money's worth

I just wanted to chime in to tell you that's it's not your build that's the problem. I'm running the stock build and I have the same issue. Did you email the developer?

The Lord is my strength and my redeemer...

This is not a problem of the software but a limitation of the hardware's available memory. There are numerous reports about this about aHome as well. The best thing to do is to minimize the # of icons on the desktop, remove unnecessary widgets, reduce as much background "sync" as possible, i.e. email, twitter, facebook checkers, news feeds, etc.

Open home sucks. It slows your phone down considerably.

I really like the concept but it just doesn't run.

Sorry for not replying back sooner, but I've been busy.

No, I never thought about emailing the developer, mainly because I thought that the problem was the Rom build I was using, but I'll e-mail the developer later during the day when I get a chance.

I've already tried removing everything from my home screen, but with the FC pop-up it's hard to notice a change at all, but thanks for the information and suggestion.

Yeah, I agree with you. I'll probably start using the original home screen now because it loads a lot faster than Open Home with little or no lag at all.
