    I think you are referring to BioWallet. It actually locks your phone and keeps all private information, private.

    Yeah its a pretty cool little app if you wanna keep stuff hidden. I wonder how well it really works though.

    it would be messed up if your camera messed up or
    someone has the same eyes as you or
    it can't detect your eyes that well

    But it's important (to me) to note, it's not a "retinal scan". The retina is on the back of your eye, and a retinal scan involves crazy magnification and a LOT of light illuminating the back of your eye, and mapping out the blood vessels in it. This program is simply looking at your iris (the colored part of your eye). So, no doubt someone could unlock your phone with a picture of your eye. Still cool, and still a form of biometrics, but it has nothing to do with the retina.
