I was wonderig if any knew what the best settings were for picture quality in this app? IE- ISO, f/, T(s). Thank you ahead of time.
..and why are there 2 columns of the same settings?
Yeah I have used aperture settings on my camera before, but even after adjusting them in the app, they not only disappear after using the camera once, but they really show no difference...
Long story short, if you want a richer picture, you want the ISO as low as it will go. It will make it darker, so you'll have to compensate, but that is the best quality picture. (I'm a photographer, I haven't downloaded the app though. Just letting you know.)
you would understand the problems with the app if you downloaded it ocean. I tried to go for a safe 400 iso, with either f5.6 or 8 (i figured that would be a good standard for most generic pictures I would take with this.) after one photo I was going to go back and change them to a much more drastic setting to see the difference however it had already changed.
I can't imagine doing this, for say one special shot (usually those are multiple shots and you pick the best,) each time you want to take a photo unless it can save settings.
It sounds like a pretty crude app, wait a while for a more developed one is what I'd say.
It's not an app that is designed to be functional with the G1 camera. All it is is a shutterspeed calculator. Its an app for photographers, but useless for those of us who have light meters or know settings off the top of our head.
Basically if you have a good exposure at one setting (which you input), you can change some things on the other (line) and it will calculate what your shutterspeed should be. Maybe someone will correct me, but after playing with it thats what I took from it.
And most of us photographers who understand stops can do this in our head.

Faster iso better. Especially with a camera phone. Otherwise hello blurry!
i agree I'm excited to see this already. It's something I've wanted for awhile on my camera,
however I wish you change the actual shutter speed, atleast in low light situations its easier to judge how long you can hold a phone without it shaking than the getting an aperature.
