Default Six questions about my new Android

    1. With the default GMail application...I have an email "conversation" that says "trash" on it even though I am actively speaking with the person and it is in my inbox...why? In a similar function I have an email conversation that is marked spam which it is not spam....

    2. I use Mozilla Thunderbird at home to check my email. The way I want it set up is that my phone gets Gmail but does not delete from the server while my Thunderbird does (once it is downloaded). It seems to be working thus far (maybe why the #1 is marked trash?)...except for some reason it downloads sent messages to my inbox in Thunderbird. This is really annoying to me. Why does it download every part of the conversation as a separate email?

    3. Is there a way to disable the ringer volume button? I have found that I keep my phone on vibrate most of the time and sometimes when I have it unlocked I must accidently hit the ringer down button and turn it to silent instead. I would rather just turn this function off.

    4. Is there a way to disable notification of application updates? For example...I have a scoreboard application where the new update is only to update some part of the NBA scores. I only use it for NHL scores so I really don't feel like uninstalling and reinstalling/downloading just to update a function I don't use (just one example).

    5. My phone seems to not recognize a touch sometimes. I'm a guy with no fingernail tips...but like if I get a notification, sometimes I sit there and try to drag the little notification bar down like ten times before it actually takes ahold and goes. And I'm not just talking flicking haphazardly I mean deliberately dragging. Same thing with pushing buttons. Sometimes it doesn't seem to realize I have pressed a button, which is also annoying.

    6. Is there a way to turn up the actual intensity of the vibrate? Like my iPhone had a weak vibrate and I jailbroke it and cranked it up. Here I have a program (forget what it was called got it on the Market) that allows me to change the pattern of the vibration but not the intensity.

That's all I can think of for now...the phone is great thus far. I had the iPhone and aboslutely despised it, went to the Curve (which I still like) and now to this. I like all of the applications available.

GMAIL implements conversation threading, all replies to a header will all be connected. If you deleted a message and you receive another reply, obviously the label would result in TRASH

Just don't deleted active topics. This is my fav feature of GMail.

Sent Email is saved email (for threading purposes)
Gmail is best via web browser

Just don't press it. You'll tune to it.

Just ignore it. You'll tune to it.

You'll tune to it, use the flats of your fingers? Manicure?

Instead of turning up the intensity, why no place the phone in a more sensitive spot? ^_^

I don't need a manicure because I don't have fingernails, I'm using the pads of my fingers. The phone is always in my pocket, where else would I put it that is going to be better?

#4. Open up Market and click on "My Downloads." Press the "Menu" button and pick "Notifications." Choose "Do not notify me"

#5. I use the flap tips of my finger (not finger nails and it seems to respond better).

#6. I wish there were but I don't know of any.

Does no one have an answer to an email client downloading the Sent messages? This is driving me crazy.

The screen is exactly the same manufacturer/type as the iPhone, so if you could use the iPhone then you should be able to use Android (unless you have a glitchy app installed which lags the interface).

You just need to get used to the way the screen likes to be touched.
    (Seriously..)

My friends try to touch it and nothing ever works they need to touch everything 5 times before they get it.
I was the same way when I got it but now it always recognizes my fingers.

    Fingernails will not work.
