When I had my Touch Pro, there was a similar app that I had installed. It did the same thing. The only reason for an app like this is to try and be funny/malicious. It's a nightmare for anyone without an unlmtd. messaging bundle. I tried it for the G1 and the results are similar. It does what it says.

I actually think its pretty funny when your messing with someone, of course as long as they have an unlimited messaging plan, the only thing i don't like is the warning message you get after you send a certain amount because it tends to freeze up my phone, but looking past that its a fun app.

I actually have a friend who won Lil' Wayne tickets from the local radio station because they had a contest to see who can text the most and whoever did won tickets to the show so hey its helpful in that instance, nice app.
