I posted part of this forum that I found on T-mobile Forums. I'm updating it with some more info. I couldn't find my original thread. This guy is a developer of the app.
Here is what he said:
hi...i'm a software developer working for Shinzo App and their will be application available this upcoming monday that will allow you to use the camera to make video... hope everyone out there will look forward to this feature. thank you.
the video app. will allow you to watch video in the browser.. the installation will include adobe flash build inside.. hope this answers your question
the file is called Video Gadgetz. Right now the application is about 85% complete, the downloaded version on this upcoming monday will be a beta version, which is limited to only video recording with the G1 and watching video on the browser. This version will be free to all G1 users. The final version will be release at the end of november that will cost only 5.99 for the application. The difference in the two is that, the final version will allow you to do video streaming such as using your camera to send continuous video from phone to phone through our website. Aside from the video streaming, the other features will include customizable tools for settings, syncing, etc.. As for Google and their policy on third party app, this beta version have been approved for testing purpose of the Android platform. Stay tune for my later posts.
the beta version will not expire, but if you want the more options, such as the phone to phone video streaming, then you will have to get Final version. If the program you want to develop is for personal use, it is okay to only acknowlege their copyrights by having a document stating Adobe's copyright (e.g. a note file, saying such and such belongs to Adobe, etc...). For business use such as developing a program to be sold on the Android market, then you would have to go through a business liability and agreement process. The process itself will take a couple days to week for reveiw. Upon approval, there will be a one time fee of $50, then Adobe, will receive 5% for program that is sold. contact Adobe for more information. Hope this helps.
Sounds good . I hope it does all it says it will do. Link to the forum below.

i'm not up for paying for a video application to be able to record & play the video when it should of been incorporated in the phone from the beginning. disappointing, to be honest the camera sucks, loads just to get to the camera and it takes forever just to take a damn shot ! theres like horrible image stabilizing
At the rate that I'm downloading apps right now, i'm going to go broke when they actually start charging for them.
Video is something that we really need.
I think it's apps like these that help make the phone feel more complete

I'm going from using a Sony Ericsson K790a which had a built in cybershot 3.2 mp camera in it. I miss the flash on that camera. Hell I really just miss that camera in that thing all together but I'll buy a digital camera to take pics with till the iron out the kinks with the camera.
The beta will record video for free. What you are paying for is the ability to stream. There will be other apps for this sort of thing that will probably be free.
The camera is really not that bad. The lag is in the focusing mechanism, which is just so so, but I've taken some really good photos with it. Keep in mind the G1 is a relatively inexpensive do-it all consumer device. I much prefer this to paying Nokia N-series prices to get a good camera, especially when I already have 8megapixel digicam that kicks any cameraphone's ass up and down the block. But don't worry, high end Androids will find their way into the market... and your bank account.

will this app also make flash video work on other sites so we can see them other then on youtube.
Yo the camera is awesome, it just need a nice app to give it a menu option. anyhow, somebody make one for my awesome camera please.
While that may be true, when it comes right to it, there really is no other way to capture video other than to make an app for it. So whether people like it or not, they will be buying that app if they want video on their phone.
But like you said, this phone's camera isn't really its greatest feature so really, why even bother. Then again, there aren't that many phones that have nice camera/video capture so I guess it just depends.
I will download the beta... If it works great, then it is worth getting the final version...
Remember you can stream with your phone, this will definitely cost the developer to host all these and the bandwidth...
No one is being sked to pay for the beta, so stick to it, if you need more options, then go all 9 yards, Geez!
