let me help you out with ringdroid... NOT AFFLIATED, just spreading knowledge.

Here's what you gotta do:

1. You have to go to settings>Applications>TURN ON unknown sources

2. Go to http://code.google.com/p/ringdroid/ on your G1

3. Download the apk file for ringdroid

4. Download, install, run

No it doesnt mess up my phone and there are many others that are fine using this non-market program...plus the ****s on Code.Google - not likely they'd let a small thing like this mess it up. *Threw that in for the newbees*
