    Default Will Adroid hadle pdf files


    Its the android will be able to download pdf files and zoom in without problems?

    As you know blackberrys has problems with pdf.

    The other phones that handle pdf very nice are the windows base types.

    The E-mail program can read Word, Excel and PDF documents,

    According to Q&A sessions on the launch day, YES. It can open .doc, PDF and probably excel.

    It was funny that one of the ppl on the net mentioned G1 does not do editing of Word and Excel documents... I asked him on one of the forums like - do you have computer at home? do you have computer at work? both were yes - ok, then check them on the phone and get them done there - cuz I can't imagein ppl working on something serious in excel spreadsheet on the cell phone... My MDA has Excel - so what I opened it once BY MISTAKE

    yea i thought about that too, who is going to do serious spredsheet work on a cellphone

    I'm not interested on editing, only on reading.

    I work with equipments at jobsites and sometime you need information, codes or instruction that you can find on pdf files from internet.

    I know the Palm Treo, Iphone do the work. Blackberry don't do it.

    I'm with T-mobile and want to change phone for the new google with the 3G network capability but want to make sure that I will see and zoom in on pdf files.

    so why cant i save pdfs to my sd card with the browser? file not supported??? lame excuse since the browsers just saving it...
