skin for g1

First of all, I know there are many threads on this subject already and I read most of them and skimmed through most of the rest. I've just got my g1 and I feel like I should get something protect it. The silicone/plastic cases I have seen so far just cover only the back. So I feel like they are out of question. I find the idea of designing my own skin through unique skins or decalgirl but I have some doubts. From what I have read they seem to peel of quickly. Then thera are the invisible shields like invisibleshield, BSE and phantomskinz. All three seems to have problems covering the edges and attracting lint. Besides I am not a fan of glossy finish they bring. Does my sum up so far seem right?

Tha big question is what is the solution if there is one. One solution I can think of is combining a thin silicone/plastic case with a front shield or a vinyl skin. But the glossy finish on one will make the phone look funny. Is there a matte finish invisible shield or skin to cover front out there? And would their thickness will be similar enough?

Thanks guys. The hard case doesn't look bad. I wish it covered the chin part better too. Well you can never have a perfect solution I guess.
