    Default Stylus

    I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with one of the captive stylus. I'm looking at getting one to use to draw on the phone when I'm bored but I don't really want to spend the money for one if it doesnt actually work very well.

    This is the type of Stylus I'm talking about [ame="http://www.amazon.com/PoGo-14389-Pogo-iPhone-Stylus/dp/B001FSEPN4/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1234491215&sr =1-8"]Amazon.com: Pogo iPhone Stylus: Electronics[/ame]

    They have some cheap used ones I think I'll get one of those but the review is not exactly promising [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Stylus-T-Mobile-Samsung-SPH-M800-Instinct/dp/B001DLKHNU/"]Amazon.com: Stylus Pen for Apple iPhone 3G, iPhone, iPod Touch, T-Mobile HTC G1, LG Dare VX9700, Samsung SPH-M800 Instinct - Black-Silver: Electronics[/ame]

    The community market has one but I havn't been able to find a review on it either. http://store.androidcommunity.com/co...6-44--4156.htm

    Don't get [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Stylus-T-Mobile-Samsung-SPH-M800-Instinct/dp/B001DLKHNU/"]Amazon.com: Stylus Pen for Apple iPhone 3G, iPhone, iPod Touch, T-Mobile HTC G1, LG Dare VX9700, Samsung SPH-M800 Instinct - Black-Silver: Electronics[/ame]

    I got the same model one off eBay, and im very unhappy with it. You have to press so ridiculously hard to get it to recognize the touch (and I mean so hard it looks like the rubber tip is about to be ripped off the stylus pen). And I could never get the unlock pattern to recognize it well enough. It wasn't worth it, luckily it was a good seller and he refunded me..
    Ps = (1.5 x 6 x .75) / {(4/3) (pi) [(31.039 x 10^15) (46.5 x 10^9)]^3}
    Seems like a waste..

    I tried a pogo stylus on my G1 (I bought it for my mother's ipod touch). It isn't really an option for the G1. It works well for the ipod- but for the G1 you must push tremendously hard- the tip is soft and not designed for the pressure. It really should not be considered for the G1.

    I suppose the G1 screen isn't as sensitive as the ipod's.

    You'll be extremely disappointed trying to use this pogo's stylus.

    I've been researching this for a while now and to be honest, I've not heard/read anything good about using a styli on the G1. I have seen and read many good reviews in reguard to the MT3G however. Thus far, imo, if you have a MT3G and are really serious about getting a style, the Digi seems to be the way to go. Though it looks like it may be a touch of a learning curve to learn how to use it. A styli for the G1, a bad idea and many have failed at making an attempt. JM2C.
    Gave up on updating my sig so I took the easy way out...

    I been reading on the type of screen the g1 has and many forums say the g1 and the iphone has the same type of captive screens. Can anyone here clarify because if that is true shouldn't you be able to use an iphone stylus with the g1 and vice versa? I have also heard that the iPhone's screen is a lot more sensitive than the G1, but not quite for sure why that would make a difference when using a stylus. I have noticed that the HTC Dream doesn't respond to multi-touches on screen, and I believe the iPhone does allow for multi-touch. I'm just curious, I still love my g1 and adding a stylus would just be another neat feature if it could work. don't know but maybe someone has some thought

    Has anyone been able to find a stylus or make a stylus that works yet? My girlfriend has long nails, but she just got the Droid Eris. She is making it work, but a stylus would really help a lot.
