Thread: AndRemote - Flexible Android Remote Control

Default AndRemote - Flexible Android Remote Control

    Hello guys,

(once again) I created a new application called AndRemote, which will be publicly available soon.

AndRemote is a highly flexible Remote Control for our beloved Android platform, which enables you to control any application right from your Android device.
    Detailed information here: http://andremote.anddev.org/

you can download the AndRemote-Beta here:Note: You will need the server-tool on your desktop-pc too:
This video show the basic instructions on how to use AndRemote:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_G0nDUleU8

The interesting thing is that anyone can build new Layouts to be loaded into AndRemote and to be shared with other users. Example of building one:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ij7jp_Jnszg

The idea is that the more users are creating + sharing their Layouts for every pc-application possible, the more the others can choose from.

Let me know what you think about my project.
    Any ideas ?

PS: Find detailed information on how it works what you can contribute etc here: http://andremote.anddev.org/

    Best Regards,
    Nicolas

Cool Re: AndRemote - Flexible Android Remote Control

    Hi Guys,

to show you how flexible AndRemote is, I put together this PluginLayout:

It enables you to send chat-messages in DotA with just one tap to your Android device.
When you play DotA, you know that those messages are extremely important and every second you are not typing is worth gold and life.

Maybe you know can see how creative one can be creating Layouts for AndRemote

    Best Regards,
    Nicolas

    Hi!
What is the meaning of a lock and a voice mail icon with a yellow star in the notification bar of "mytouch"? Called T-Mobile support and they couldn't give me an answer!!! Peace & thanks!

This app is very exciting. I just wish it would show up on the Market. Not available in Japan?

This sounds very exciting but I also cannot find it in the Market. Do we have to get it from your website?

Its not yet on the market. Its already working very good and very stable I'm just adding some more features (like keep screen awake) and more layouts.
I.e. Yesterday I added functionality (also for the Builder) to make 'Touchscreen-Areas'. Accelerometer controls to come soon.

Here is the current list with a new layout "Simple Mouse" using this new feature: http://andremote.anddev.org/pluginla...layoutlist.php

I'll probably publish a first public version within a week.

    Currently I am thinking about a business-model.
I think it will turn out to this:
    • The Server and Layout-Builder are free (of course)
    • The Client (downloadable from the Market and SlideMe) will be $0,99
    • There will be several layouts (the current ones + about 10 more) made by me
    • There will be very very much layouts free and paid from other developers, distributed through the "built-in" Downloader and the Android Market
It would be great if you'd let me know what you think about this business-model.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best Regards,
    Nicolas
