Well it sounds reasonable and it's great that there is a builder. I'm looking forward to tinkering with it. I've been using VLC Remote and pmix to control VLC and MPD respectively.

    Hi guys,

I added another one, the "Windows Media Player Remote" (See: http://andremote.anddev.org/pluginla...layoutlist.php )

Do you maybe have ideas for some more cool and useful layouts, which I could add for the soon upcoming launch? (Remember it can do anything you can do with your mouse and keyboard!)

    Best Regards,
    Nicolas

I'd like to be able to control Openoffice.org presentations.

Great, I totally didn't think about that ...

Let me know what you think is important and what the hotkeys are that you would use when you'd do it manually on your PC, like:
    • Next Slide: "Arrow Right"
    • Previous Slide: "Arrow Left"
    • ...
(I'll already do one for PowerPoint in the meantime.)

Couldn't resist and did another one: a D-Pad, useful for reading PDFs, Documents and Websites. (See: http://andremote.anddev.org/pluginla...layoutlist.php )

It would be cool if an interface could be designed that would let us use these controls. Might be overkill for some but...

    Esc

    End presentation.

Spacebar or Right arrow or Down arrow or Page Down or Enter or Return or N
Play next effect (if any, else go to next slide).

    Alt+Page Down
Go to next slide without playing effects.

    [number] + Enter
    Go to slide [number].

Left arrow or Up arrow or Page Up or Backspace or P
Play previous effect again or show previous slide.

    Alt+Page Up
Go to the previous slide without playing effects.

    Home
Jump to first slide in the slide show.

    End
Jump to the last slide in the slide show.

    Ctrl+Page Up
    Go to the previous slide.

    Ctrl+Page Down
    Go to the next slide.

    B or .
Show black screen until next key or mouse wheel event.

    W or ,
Show white screen until next key or mouse wheel event.

Great. Maybe we can reduce it a little...

    What is difference between:
    - "Go to next slide without playing effects."
    and
    - Go to the next slide.

I mean ... we can put this together imo.
Because 12 buttons do not add up to simplicity.
I think I'll add a simple one with ~4-8 of the above options and its up to the community to create an advanced version providing all buttons mentioned, but looking a bit full.

    Best Regards,
    Nicolas

I'm with you there. If you can find a balance between functional and simple, that would be great.
