Default AnyPost - (Upcoming Software, Full Review)

My friends at Skamped Software kindly provided me with a beta APK of their upcoming program, AnyPost.

    from the Skamped Software website:
Formerly known as PingBox, AnyPost is an application for the Android OS that allows you to keep the growing number of social networks up to date from one location. It uses the Ping.fm service to interface with your favorite social networking sites. You can send micro-blog, blog, and status updates through the application and it also allows you to view your latest 25 messages posted.

You can expect to see the G1™ version in the Android Market during Q1 of 2009 for a small fee in order to support my development efforts. This version will support uploading photos directly from your device as well as allowing you to grab your current location and share that in your posts. You will be able to ping all services tied to a specific post method, individual services, or one of your custom triggers.
I've been testing out the program for a few days now, and I have to say, it totally rocks. For anyone that uses ping.fm and has an Android device, this application is a must-have - it offers the full functionality of the ping.fm website with a clean, easy to use UI. Posting to individual services, multiple services or custom triggers couldn't be easier, and the photo uploading and location-sending is flawless.

One thing that I found particularly cool, was that if you hit the 'Recent Posts' tab, and then long-press an individual post, it pops up with two further options - 'View Posted Services' and 'View Post Details'. I'll explain what these do below:

    'View Posted Services':

Because ping.fm allows support for so many services, for those of us that don't post every update to the same place, this makes it easy to see which services a particular post has been sent to. Upon clicking this, a window will pop up showing all the services that post was sent to, including the icons and URL's.

    'View Post Details':

This shows the method used to make the post, (i.e - Status, Micro-Blogs, Blogs, Custom Triggers), the date and time that post was made, and the body of the post.

As stated above, this application will hit the market soon, after support for paid apps starts in a few days. I highly recommend this app and it's developer, and if you use ping.fm, you really can't go wrong with AnyPost.

Its great to see an app that can be used to update multiple social sites I've grown accustomed to these days, I believe ping.fm (therefore this app) has access to twitter, wordpress, myspace, hi5, flickr, livejournal, bebo, facebook, and even imeem amongst others (del.icio.us, plurk, xanga, blogger, linked in, etc.) that people use. I'll have to check it out when this becomes available.

I also checked out their website, and that Battery Monitor is exactly what I'm looking for too, I hope that makes it to market soon.

Question - has anyone here used PingDroid? Is it as functional as this? I haven't used it, but from what I've seen it's nowhere near as good.

    Oops!

As a mod, I should be more careful in keeping a topic in the right place! LOL. I'll move it now.

I've been fortunate enough to test this app, and I must say it works like a charm. The folks at Ping.fm just added support for AIM, and Gtalk status updates, so this app is better than ever.
