Hi Guys,
I'm using Vodafone Beebplayer and Latitude both work fine here :-D
Ahhhhhh! What? Help! Quick Panic somethings gone wrong and I dont know what it is!
my unlocked g1 is letting me watch tv shows over 3g connection but this is probably because I am using o2 internet connection which is, at the moment, a few steps ahead of t-mobile.
Hope I was of help to you guys out there.
Its stopped working, what happened?
Update on this.....
According to the "Market Place" this app has been turned off and you should uninstall it. Some thing to do with the Dingbats at the BBC complaining.
I am going to "Install it" to see what happens anyway..LOL
Yes he is right it dont work,,,All you get when you try to watch any thing is "This video can not be played" The autor has made his apologies for this, but to be fair its not his fault... Weldone the BBC. you can watch it free in the rest of the world ,but back here in the UK where we have to pay for it, we carnt..... Make you feel great to be british dont it..
Kind regards
Kamsin..
There is no doubting that there are a lot of poor/pointless apps on the market place but every now and then 1 comes along that really shows you the future of this type of phone. Beebplayer was 1 of them & For the 2 days I used it I thought it was the muts nuts.
Who, or more prevelant, why is this no longer available? What have the BBC said or done to prevent this? Are they releasing thier own version, is it illegal in some way? I can handle it??
Surely all the UK terrestrial channels (BBC, ITV, 5 & Channel4) are missing a trick by not having thier iplayer/demand services on mobiles?
No such thing happened, it simply all stopped working. I've heard nothing from the BBC or anyone else about the matter. If it was their decision, I'm sure they had very good reason for it, rather than simply evil spite! It clearly wasn't meant to be used this way and that's my fault for making it accessible without checking facts first.
Following this thread and bummed about the results.
I was hoping for some kind of a BBC app in the US. I love the BBC and would think it stellar if I could watch it on the G1.
What do you think? Any chance of that happening?
New HTC G1 user.
After months of reading reviews and viewing videos I picked the best of the bunch.

Excuse the post from a technological moron.
I have a HTC Magic on Vodafone and was using beebplayer with no issues until last night, when, whilst watching "The Apprentice", the video froze and the phone emitted a high pitched whine.
After this not only would beebplayer not work but youtube videos would not run either. Uninstalling beebplayer seems to have cured the youtube problem. I assume this is just part of the general issues people are having with the app and the BBC's attitude towards it. Shame as it was great whilst it worked.
