I completely disagree with charging for this app when he can, which he has promised to do. It's just not how it works for gameboy emu ok... If you come out with a sick playstation emu then yes, charge for it by all means, but come on.. game boy?
COMMENTS THAT WERE RIGHT HERE RETRACTED....
I appreciate that devs should be compd for their work.. Read below for more..

If the guy used his time to write the software and it works, then that's ok for him to choose to charge for it.
Just because it's a gameboy emu and not a playstation one it does not mean it's worthless.
Im pretty sure nintendo still holds all the rights to the Gameboy and all there games this guys probably going to get sued. if he starts charging for it it will be that much worse
You can't be sued for writing an emulator. It's the end-user that decides whether they use it for legal or illegal purposes. If he supplies a GBA rom to run the emulator with, then he can be sued, but usually this isn't the case.
As far as him charging for the application -- he's put his time and effort and thus has the right to charge for the application he created. If you don't agree with it, then code your own or wait for a free one. There's nothing "wrong" about him charging for something he programmed.
agreed besides gameboy games r fun

this has the be the worst premise for a thread ever.
if you don't want to pay for a developers work, do your own.
Nono I'm not hating on the gameboy - But it's simple, someone else has done it free, and I have never seen a paid game boy emu ever - It's just not good gamer etiquette IMO.
Playstation would be a whole other world of hurt for someone to emulate, and I would definitely say charge for because of the amount of quality games you could port to a device more suited for that level of graphics.
Sorry for the ramble.. just hate the idea of him making money off of all these people for that - we've already each bought a few gameboys anyway..
Also, yeah he'll probably get sued lol.
Sorry I'm all rambling today guys.
Do your own do your own do your own - No I think I'd rather complain in this case, sorry.
i do appreciate quality development and am more than willing to spend on relevant applications. A gameboy emulator I think many people can agree, should be free. I can't even fully explain why, it's just one of those things you feel.
