    Default Finance Apps Reviewed

I'm not sure if this formats correctly so if you're one of the view who arrives before it's correctly formatted, pardon me. Also, please note that the ratings are out of 5. 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. Also note that these ratings aren't based on any criteria, just strictly my opinion and preference, and first impressions.

I've been at work all day and I've done this to avoid doing work. I've had to multitask quite well at this point, if any of the information/features/app names or anything are incorrect please share with the others before you go bombarding me with insults. The purpose of this is to help YOU and all others, so help me to help you. Please clarify and verify any correct or incorrect information you can find in this post.

Before you read I definitely plan on attempting to manage my budget with Budget Droid which is the first one listed. I also plan on toying around more with NodEcon and Loot before uninstalling them.

    Personal Budget Droid - 4/5
    - simple UI – besides being very busy on all tabs – best viewed in portrait mode
    - Very easy to post transactions, add categories, and view the history
    - Verify cash, credit, or debit when adding transaction
    - Export all/monthly transactions

Personally, this is the one I found and the one I plan to stick with. Well known App developer with many other apps out there. Not to mention, it seems to be the one most well put together, despite the busy UI. For example, get rid of the useless NEWS TAB!! Please make the forth tab my list of transactions or something useful, otherwise, add it to the menu.

    Loot3/5
    - simple UI – almost too simple
    - Password Protection
    - Add multiple accounts, and ability to back up database
    - Post transactions, dates, amounts, tags, check #
    - Also able to post repeatable (customizable) transactions
    - Sort transactions by date, party, and amount

A lot of people may like this app, I despise the simplicity of this app though. It's so simple it makes looking at all these numbers confusing. Although, this app does make it possible to Sort transactions based on Date, Party, and Amount. It gets the job done in a very ugly fashion.

    NodEcon2/5
    - simple UI, perfect in both view modes
    - Predefined categories, add categories, add tags
    - Graphs display spending weekly/monthly
    - No budgets, totals, or accounts
    - Export to email, and csv
    - Password protected
    - Templates

I don't really understand this one I guess. It's mostly just displays a list of transacions. Although the UI is perfect for this app, I just wish it did more. I didn't look very much into the Templates thing, but now it has me rather curious. I think you should definitely check this app and don't take my opinion for it.

    Funky Expenses1/5
    - simple UI
    - Displays list of transactions, accounts, and history
    - Password Protected

This one is ugly and extremely simple. Personally I believe this one is a little better than the last one just because of how they have the listings. A little more organized and not so hard to look at.

    Expense Manager1/5
    - extremely simple UI
    - Add multiple accounts
    - Minimal options, add expense, view expense listing
    - Ability to take a photo and add (receipts, etc.)

Like the one above this one is ugly and extremely simple. Just a list of your transactions, if that's all you're looking for then add four to that one up there.

I hope this is some help to someone as it didn't take me much time but it contains just enough information to make a decision or at least an idea of which app is best suited for your needs.

    Enjoi!
