I did a search and didn't find anything on this. In January when developers can charge for apps.. are we going to be seeing a lot more apps?(30 new apps the day of) Like people that have already created apps and are waiting to upload them so they can charge? Dumb question I guess but I'm just curious.

thats what im guessing that their are alot of applications out there, if you saw the 50 winners of the first contest..... that arent on the market place, and im sure their are others waiting to put a price tag on their applications.
since if u look at your market place its say "beta" idk why, but maybe because its not fully open, free apps and paid apps.
lets just hope its not more paid applications like the ones they tried to add to the store now.....
In Jan there should be big updates from Google
1) Virtual keyboard from google (confirmed)
2) Paid apps
3) I'm hoping a way to install apps on mem card
4) I'm hoping auto rotate will be added
I'm sure you'll see LOTs and LOTs of apps appearing in January. I'm a developer, and I would certainly wait until then to get my paid apps on the market place. I'm all for developing freeware apps, but I also want to be reimbursed for my time and effort in developing apps. You'll probably see some really cool, useful apps soon!
I will be ready to start deleting some of my old apps as soon as the more inovative paid apps are available.

The big problem that I see, is that installed apps all must go into internal memory and not on a SD card. As such, you are limited on the number of apps you can install. Hopefully, the next RC update will fix this, allowing users to install apps on a SD card. There will be notable slowness when running apps from an SD card (especially those reading and writing to database files), but it should provide more space for apps.
real devs do it for the love of the game, not the love of the money!
jan. will be a great month for android and the g1 =D
new year
new innovations
iphone killler yaayya
Sounds like January will be a good month then. I know most people will have no problem paying good money for apps(including myself). I just wish tmobile\android would give us an idea of what the next updates will include. Its driving me crazy.
