now who knows how to use it?
Input the settings from your camera (DSLR) on the left side. Input some changes on the right and the app will automatically tell you what your shutterspeed should be to get the correct exposure.
The app is for photographers. A shutterspeed calculator. I should go comment the app so people will stop asking the same question.
i thought it was affecting settings on the camera itsself, i guess not
No, this does not adjust your camera in any way. Is has already been posted.
so how will this be faster than using a light meter?
It's not. And thats why it is kind of a useless app. It's designed for photographers but most of us have lightmeters that will do this much quicker. And most of the time I don't even have to use a lightmeter anymore, I can guess an exposure pretty close. So again, kind of a useless app.
lol, yeah that's what I was thinking. I can see it being of some use if you are out in the field and have an older manual camera and didn't bring a light meter. or for someone who is learning on a manual camera

Yea, even then, the selectable shutter speed range is only from 0"3-30", which isn't really a useable range for most photographers. I know 80% of the time I'm somewhere between 1/15th and 1/250th.
