Spare parts anyone?

Does anyone know what happened with the "Spare Parts" app that was supposed to add features that the google developers couldn't add at the last minute?

maybe there waiting to rerelease it untill they can add in a virtual keyboard and reorient the screen when it gets tipped over. I doubt it but I can dream
