Starting Download has been on screen for ...

several minutes with no "progress". Went to the market on my G1 and chose 1 app - my phone sstill says "starting download". Have a full signal. Any ideas or is this normal?

Make sure your wifi isn't enabled. I had this issue until I disabled it. May just be me though.

it happened to me be4...i resolved it by restarting my phone...and it runs 10 times faster now comparing to i didnt restart it...

Happens to me every now and then, I just cancel the download then
go back into it. Market may be busy.

yea i had the same damn problem. after exhausting all areas, even called customer service, it came down to master resetting the phone.

Just canacel the download wait a minute or two go back and redownload it. If it happens again just try to redownload it again, this problem happens to quite a few people.

I've had this problem today a few times too.

You can either just restart your G1, or just give it some time.

Also, I usually keep my phone on airplane mode while in my work area seeing how there is no reception anyway, and when I took it off airplane mode and was messing around, I noticed AIM and Windows Messanger were already signed in but yet Google Talk wasnt.

Weird.

indeed, fixed by reboot. This happened twice today, and I just got the phone today

no biggie, just cancel the download and start it again, i know we don't like to do that, but nothing is perfect and do it as many times as u need it
