Default Sweeter Home - A revolutionary home screen replacement!

Sweeter Home is very different from the other Home Screen Alternative that just offer more screens and widgets. Sweeter home truly allows you to customize the layout of your homescreen.

-You can choose where to put an app tray or container
-Display missed calls on the screen
-Show contacts on the home screen
-Show calendar events on the home screen
-Show recent text messages on the home screen

All of this can be organized in a custom layout that you want. So if you want to reduce the icon size of all the apps you can just drag the grid size and that way you are no longer constrained to the normal 4x4 home screen dimensions. It is hard to explain, but very cool. Check it out in the market.

Yea, I used it for about 20 seconds then figured I didn't like it much. The only thing I really found worth mentioning is that your app tray runs horizontally instead of vertically which I liked. But to me nothing beats the crisp look of Open Home espicially with their themes.

I agree it needs more work. It is still in early beta at the moment. The developer released it to the public to speed up testing and get better feedback. I think we will see that more dedicated people create the layouts just like we have people designing themes and then we can choose which layout we like best. I think it has a lot of potential.

I agree with you about how clean Open Home looks.

i really like it, only problem is once i change themes, it erases ALL my customizations... I have to redo it every time... Im going to wait alittle longer before i reinstall it, and hopefully it will be alittle better than it is now.

This has some pretty stupendous potential. The level of customization is not only unparalleled, it's also unprecedented. Projects like this, though it's obvious there is much, much more work to be done, make me proud to use Android.

Keep it up devs, you may just have a real monster on your hands.

The app is too much for me.

    A little too exotic?

I want something simple... like a Mercedes.
I don't want a Mercedes with Lamborghini doors, Crazy carbon fiber spoiler, 28 inch rims, decals on the exterior, with antennas sticking out.

Wow I decided to download Sweeter Home and give it a go expecting to come back to my regular home screen in a couple of hours. Well, I've been playing around with it for a couple of hours and customized it to my liking. I can tell you if it doesn't dramatically slow down my phone I think I'll be keeping it for a while.

The one thing that I love about the application so far is how customizable it is. I also like the way you are able to list all the application on the bottom page/pane. There are just too many things to do and way too much fun messing around.

The one thing that I do miss from my old homepage is the folders. It needs to find a way to allow folders (maybe I just haven't found a way yet). The other thing that I don't like about it so far is that I haven't been able to successfully set a wallpaper.

Overall I'm very happy with the way it currently looks and I'm really looking forward to any updates especially with widgets and more integration with the old home page and alternative home pages.

This is what two of my screens look like right now:

The developer is already looking into ways to make it avaialble to ADP1.1 users.

I've been using it for the last few hours and loved it, but the update gave me problems. I saw in the market wheree it said what to do if you run into errors with updating and assumed that was a post-error fix. Before updating I didn't revert to the normal homescreen and when I updated it no longer worked. It repeatedly force closes. After a restart it is doing the same thing and because I can't get to my homescreen I also can't get to settings in order to change back to Home. I got to the browser randomly after I got an email notification but I still can't get to the home screen or apps list.

Apparently Android doesn't give you the option to change the default app after it force closes repeatedly, anyone know how I could change the setting or remove sweeter home?
