google apps on rooted phones

When i was going throught the forums, i noticed that people were saying that you lose some of your google apps when you root. If so which ones do you lose. I also do not have any voice search app on my phone even though i am on 1.5 and in the uk. Are uk users missing out?

I am using JFv1.5 ADP. I still have Voice Search even though I don't use it.

I don't have MyFaves (even though I don't use it nor do I have the plan).
No more Amazon (never used it)
Also some of the IM clients are missing (never used the native G1 IM).
