Android Market charging for apps in early 2009

Yea that really suprised me. I thought for sure google would take a small percentage. I guess its the carriers hosting the market place and not google. So I wonder if different carriers will have a different market place.

This could also mean that all the AWESOME apps WONT be available until early 2009, since that is when the developer will release it to be paid for it.

In order to make a really deep useful app it requires funding. Most opensource developers wont charge for an app if they can avoid it. If they do its often just to cover costs.
