iPhone is a single product. Android is an operating system being spread over multiple platforms. It doesn't take a crystal ball to make this prediction.
You mean it hasn't already?
Well I guess this depends on whether one lumps into the totals all Android OS phones sold.
Android could become the Microsoft Windows of smartphone operating systems and surpass the iPhone OS/phone once Android is placed on non-HTC branded phones (e.g., the Motorola and LG lines).
I don't think that would be remarkable, to see Android OS smartphones pass iPhone in sales.
What would be noteworthy is to see Android pass Microsoft Mobile PC and leave it in the dust. How long has MS tried to gain a strong foothold in the PDA, cell phone and smartphone markets?
Android has it right in how they are going about capturing and taking over the market (open source, easy OTA downloads and updates, initially free or low priced apps, great interface). It may be too late for MS to remain competitive.
As to Apple, "wearing a chasity belt" is what killed Apple computer sales. Maybe the same will happen with the iPhone.

Of course it will. iPhone is a lone product whereas Android will be spread out (like previously stated). Err....
