More unbased fear mongering. Where is this evidence? What stuff? Its already been shown through the hack currently out it will work on the g1. Seriously this kind of reporting is complete crap.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

i got the emulator to work but had to do a few things in terminal

cd to the tools directory and type "./android create avd --target 2 --name CupcakeVM01"

then type "./emulator -avd CupcakeVM01" to run the emulator.

on windows just take out ./ and it will work.

the emulator takes about 15 minutes to start up and when it does still runs painfully slow.

Wait do you type those commands directly into cmd? or do you do something else in the cmd first? Because its not working (sorry I'm not too good with code just intrested in the emulator)

I've been running Android 1.5 for about 3 weeks now. The currently Haykuro release is perfectly stable. For all of your that haven't rooted their phones yet, what are you waiting for?!? It takes 20 minutes and is about as simple as it gets...

This might be dumb-dumb logic, but I feel like if I use these leaked builds, it'll take away the excitement of when T-Mobile and Google release it officially. Yes, yes, I know, dumb-dumb logic.

So those of you with rooted phones that already have a 1.5 build -- does the video recording work on the G1.

bdb4269 --yes it works fine, I have tested both the HTC and the Google builds of the Haykuro releases and video recording is fine. It is one of the main reasons I wanted to root my G1.

The HTC build has some big differences from the Google one, and after playing with both, I really like the Google one better as far as stability of the phone goes, and the speed of the video recorder, its almost instant. The HTC build is a little slower but it has extra features that the google one doesnt have.. so I guess its a matter of preference.

Currently the only major downside to the Google build is you cannot download from the Market.. (may be fixed soon)

Theres alot more to it though so if your curious just PM me.
